Now ALL PENANG CATS can have low-cost surgeries to prevent unwanted kittens and improve cats’ health for their lifetime. This program is aimed at cat rescuers, feeders, and others who save cats from the streets. TNR – Trap-Neuter-Return or Rehome is the most humane way to control populations. If you or someone you know has rescued a cat and it is healthy, please register right away!
Register cats for spay/neuter surgeries with Cat Beach and get an amazing discount from Windsor Animal Hospital in Tanjung Tokong, Penang island.
Usual charges at most veterinarians is RM 120 TO RM 150 for male castrations, RM 200 to 300 for females. Per Dr Shibu, as of January 6th, 2021, OPERATION SNIPSNIP now costs just RM 75 for males. RM 125 for females. There may be some extra charges if pregnant or complications.
Please note that under this program, ear clipping (eartipping) is required. This painless procedure shows the world that this cat has been sterilized — important if the cat should be captured by the authorities or goes to a vet for surgery. If you do not wish ear clipping (also called ear tipping), then you should make arrangements directly with a vet of your choice.
You can request any day of the week. currently, Windsor can do up to 3 female spays and 5 to 6 male castrations per day. After registration, please allow a few days to confirm appointment. We will get back to you with confirmed appointment.

HOW TO PREPARE CATS FOR SURGERY
Cats need to be caught and caged the day before. Feed an evening meal, then remove food at 10 pm, remove water at 12 midnight.
Cats should arrive at Windsor between 9 and 10 am. Pick up at night of same day after 6 pm (Windsor closes about 9:30 pm) if no complications.
If pregnant, in heat or surgical complications, there may be additional charges.
Kucing perlu dikurong sehari sebelum. Beri makan sebelum 10 malam dan minuman pada 12 mlm. Kucing perlu berada diWindsor pada jam 10 pagi dan blh diambil semula pada jam 6 ptg hari yg sama. Windsor tutup pada jam 7 mlm. Kiranya kucing mempunyai masalah sampingan seperti mengandung, mengawan atau komplikasi semasa pembedahan kemungkinan caj tambahan dikenakan.

Kucing perlu dikurung sehari sebelumnya. Beri makan malam, kemudian keluarkan makanan pada pukul 10 malam, keluarkan air pada pukul 12 tengah malam. Kucing perlu tiba di Windsor pada pukul 10 pagi. Perlu di jemput pada hari yang sama pada jam 6 petang, (Windsor di tutup pada 7 malam) jika tidak ada sebarang komplikasi/masalah. Sekiranya bunting, “in heat” atau mengalami komplikasi pembedahan, akan tertakluk kepada bayaran tambahan.

Windsor asks that pickup (owner/rescuer/transporter) be confirmed by telephone call. If there is an emergency, it is possible that the OP SNIPSNIP surgery may have to be delayed. If it is necessary for the surgery to be postponed to the following day, then there will be no charge for the overnight stay. Please telephone the hospital before coming to confirm the pickup time — Windsor Animal Hospital +6 04 899 0055. Normal pick up time is 8:30 PM.
Always good to check with hospital in case last minute changes. Give them a call before you leave home. Gives them time to prep cat for transport.
